• David Lane 大卫·莱恩

David Lane is a British artist who holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Derby and a Master of Contemporary Art degree from the University of the Arts London. He also holds a PhD from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and is currently pursuing a PhD in Contemporary Art and Education at the University of Edinburgh. He lives in London and Beijing. As a shortlisted artist for the prestigious New Contemporaries award in London, David Lane is a rare artist who, with a continuous and developmental observer's perspective, integrates creative approaches based on different disciplines such as journalism, philosophy, sociology, and psychology into his artistic creation and practice. He dissects the logical laws hidden behind phenomena like a fog and presents them in a systematic way. David Lane, who is active in both the UK and China, has recently held important exhibitions spanning both countries, including I Think Therefore I Question, Breathe, Border Crossing, Art out of the Mainstream, and Young Gods. His significant awards include the Future Map Award from the London Academy of Arts in 2013. His works are collected by major British art institutions, including the Tate Modern and the Saatchi Gallery in London.
