Chi Qun 迟群
Chi Qun graduated from the Mural Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree and in 2010 with a Master's degree. She currently lives and works in Beijing. Since 2017, she has participated in numerous important exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Nanjing, Taiwan, and Sydney. In developing her own style using lines as a medium, Chi Qun has gone through several different stages of development, from initial sketching techniques and gray lines to later oil painting techniques and colored lines. This time, the colors in her works are more vibrant, giving a more feminine feel. However, this is actually because the pandemic made everyone feel confined and depressed, and Chi Qun felt a yearning for richness. This was her feeling when using these colors—to use colors different from gray to bring a different feeling.
